What is the schedule for the conference?

I didn’t pre-register and now registration is closed. Can I register at the door?

Yes. You may register on site the day of the conference as long as there is space available. On site admission prices are as follows: $120 General, $50 Student, $35 Low Income, $30 UT student/faculty/staff.

Will there be WiFi available at the conference venue?

Yes, there will be free WiFi at the conference; you will get the network information and password when you check in. We encourage live tweeting and our official hashtag is #FPcon2.

How can I follow along online if I am not at the conference?

Unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to live stream any of the sessions. However, some of the sessions will be recorded and made available later. You can also follow us on Twitter (@FemPornCon) and attendees by following our official hashtag #FPcon2.

I’ve got questions about The Feminist Porn Awards, can you answer them? Can I buy tickets to The Feminist Porn Awards?

The Feminist Porn Awards and The Feminist Porn Conference are part of a block of events in April celebrating feminist porn in Toronto, and they are produced by two separate entities with two separate ticketing systems. The Feminist Porn Awards are produced by Good for Her, and you can find information and tickets on the Good For Her website; you can also email jennifer(at)goodforher.com.

Where is the conference? If I am coming from out of town, where should I stay?

The conference takes place at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology at the University of Toronto, located at 40 St. George Street. See detailed directions to campus here. The official host hotel is Holiday Inn Toronto Bloor-Yorkville, 280 Bloor St. West, Toronto. It’s a five-minute walk from the University of Toronto. Call 416-968-3300 to book a room and use our special conference code FPA to get these special rates which are valid April 3-6: $129.99 single/double occupancy and $139.99 triple/quad occupancy. Our block is reserved until March 3. After March 3, the hotel will still honor the rates as long as there are rooms available.

I’m a member of the media covering the event, are there still media passes available to the conference?

Yes. Online registration has closed so please arrive early to the event, go to the line marked “Media, Presenters, Guests & Volunteers,” and we can register you on site. In addition, we are holding a press conference on Friday, April 5 at 12:30 pm, please email info(at)fpcon.org for details. Note: We don’t have access to any comps or media passes to the Awards Gala. We suggest you contact the following folks at Good for Her to inquire about getting access to the Awards: jennifer(at)goodforher.com.

I’m a student. Do I get a special discount? How do I register?

Students do receive a special registration rate and can register here before March 31 at 12 noon. If you are a UT student, faculty or staff member, admission to the conference is at a very reduced rate ($20 if you pre-registered online or $30 at the door).

I registered already, but now I can’t come. Can I get a refund?

Our policy of no refunds has been on the website since registration opened. At this point, no refunds will be given, as per the original policy.

Is there time to socialize and network?

Lunchtime on both days is a good time to network and socialize with fellow attendees. In addition, the Sliquid Post-Con Party will be held on Sunday, 6-8 pm (details here – see bottom of the page).

I’d like to do a carpool, a room share, etc. Can you help?

Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity to coordinate these things. We recommend you post something on our Facebook Page to connect with other attendees.
